# HSIMC Power Ready ยท Global Plug, Socket & Fuse Safety Baseline Version: HRI-HSIMC-POWER-READY-PLUG-FUSE-UN6-C0-001 Updated: 2026-10-12T17:39:12+08:00 Official source status: scoped reference, not legal approval. A plug fitting into a socket does not establish compatible voltage, earthing, fuse protection or safe use. Start with the actual destination and product configuration. For applicable BS 1363 rectangular-pin 13A plugs in Hong Kong, the fuse is a safety feature, not a decoration. Verify it alongside the standard, cord and actual load. This does NOT mean every fuse must be 13A The plug fuse primarily protects the flexible cord against overcurrent; it does not replace earthing, circuit breakers or whole-product safety measures. Important exception: a plug is not an adaptor. Hong Kong EMSD guidance distinguishes one/two-socket 13A adaptors from multiway adaptors with more sockets; their fuse conditions differ. The machine record retains plug_type, rated_current_A, fuse_presence_required, fuse_link_standard, fuse_rating_A, scope, evidence_source_ids and review_status. Unknown values remain null and cannot be converted into approval. Read machine JSON at https://hsimc.tech/work/power-ready/baselines/plugs/data/power-plug-safety.json and original authority links in its sources. Verify actual jurisdiction, plug and adaptor design, fuse-link standard, selected fuse current, cord, nameplate, protective earthing, SKU and authorized test evidence. Unknown is not exempt. Do not automatically select an adaptor or transformer, dispatch electrical work or grant product approval.
